How to Book Your Trip? (In 4 Simple Steps!)
Contact Us: Tell us your dream trip. We’ll send you a detailed itinerary proposal and a no-obligation quote.
Confirm Your Adventure: Loved our proposal? Perfect! Send us your confirmation by email so we can temporarily reserve your spot.
Make the Initial Payment: To secure your reservation, we’ll ask for an initial deposit. Once received, your trip to Patagonia is a reality!
Final Payment: The remaining balance is due before your arrival. We’ll send you a reminder a few weeks beforehand.
Payment Policy
To guarantee your adventure and coordinate all logistics with our local team, we work as follows:
Initial Deposit: A 30% deposit of the total trip value is required to confirm your reservation. This initial payment allows us to secure your guides, accommodations, and key services.
Final Payment: The remaining 70% must be paid no later than 60 days before your program start date.
Last-Minute Reservations: If you book your trip less than 60 days in advance, we will require 100% payment to confirm.
Payment Methods: We accept secure online payments by credit card and bank transfer. We will send you all the details in your reservation email.
Cancellation of reservations
1.1. The client has the right to cancel his/her reservation at any time before the start date of the trip, in accordance with Article 3° letter b) of Law No. 19.496, which establishes the obligation to provide truthful and timely information about the terms and conditions of the contracted services.
1.2.For cancellations made up to 60 days prior to the trip start date, 100% of the amount paid will be refunded, in accordance with Article 3, letter e) of Law N° 19.496.
1.3. For cancellations made between 59 and 30 days prior to the trip start date, a 50% partial refund will be issued, in compliance with Article 3, letter f) of Law N° 19.496, which states that in certain specific cases, providers may establish more restrictive refund policies.
1.4. For cancellations made with less than 29 days prior to the trip start date, no refund will be issued.
1.5. In the event of cancellation, the amount paid may be offered as a credit towards future trips, subject to availability and conditions of the tour operators.
Changes to bookings
2.1. The customer has the right to request changes to their booking, such as travel dates or itineraries, subject to availability, in order to protect the consumer’s right to modify their purchase under pre-established conditions.
2.2. Changes are subject to administrative charges and any difference in price between the original booking and the new booking, additional fees associated with the cost of handling changes to bookings.
Refunds
3.1. If due to unforeseen circumstances or reasons beyond the control of Base Patagonia Travel (such as natural disasters, political conflicts, pandemics, governmental decisions, flight cancellations and all other acts of God), the agency is forced to cancel the trip, a partial refund corresponding to 80% of the value paid will be offered, the remaining 20% being deducted for operational costs.
3.2. Refunds will be made within a reasonable period of time, by transfer to the account indicated by the client, if the transfer is not possible, the refund will be made through the payment platform used by the customer.
