Welcome to Puerto Natales, the gateway to the beautiful Torres del Paine National Park in Chile’s Southern Patagonia! Here you will find breathtaking scenery, a rich history and a variety of exciting activities to enjoy during your travel itinerary.
Torres del Paine National Park, named as the Eighth Wonder of the World, is one of the favourite destinations for tourists visiting Chile. In this park, you can marvel at the imposing mountains known as the Torres del Paine and the Cuernos del Paine, as well as explore beautiful lakes such as Grey, Pehoé, Sarmiento and Nordenskjold. You will also have the opportunity to admire the impressive Grey, Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers.
Besides the natural wonders, Puerto Natales offers other attractions, such as the Milodon Cave Natural Monument. This cave was home to an ancient prehistoric mammal called Milodon, and is an interesting place to learn about the natural history of the region.

We will start our journey from Puerto Natales to Hotel Las Torres in a private transfer. From there, we will hike to the base viewpoint of the Torres del Paine, passing through a beautiful valley with panoramic views. After an hour of climbing, we will arrive at Paso de Los Vientos, where we will enjoy breathtaking views. We will descend gently until we reach the Refugio Chileno, where we will stop to rest. We will continue walking following the river and crossing a lenga forest. Finally, we will walk over rocky terrain until we reach the Torres viewpoint, where we will be able to admire these famous rock formations and the glacial lagoon that surrounds them. After enjoying the scenery, we will return to Puerto Natales to rest and recover from our first adventure.

Early in the morning, we will depart from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine Park in a private transfer. We will arrive at the park and start our visit through a panoramic tour by vehicle. During the tour, we will be able to appreciate the natural beauty of the park, including its mountains, lakes and waterfalls. We will have the opportunity to make stops at outstanding places, such as the Paine waterfall and the Laguna Amarga viewpoint. We will also enjoy a walk along the park’s trails, where we will be able to observe the local flora and fauna. During the day, our guide will provide us with interesting information about the history and geology of the area. Finally, we will return to our hotel to rest and prepare for the last day of the excursion.

We will head to the pier to embark on an exciting sailing excursion to the Balmaceda and Serrano Glacier. During the catamaran trip, we will be able to admire the unique landscapes of Chilean Patagonia, including mountains, fjords and glaciers. We will sail through the Última Esperanza fjord until we reach the Balmaceda Glacier area. Here, we will be able to appreciate the majesty of the hanging glacier with its imposing walls and crevasses and the occasional detachment of large ice fragments. We will continue sailing until we reach the Serrano Glacier, where we will disembark to enjoy a walk in the surroundings and take pictures. Afterwards, we will head to the Perales Estancia, where we will enjoy a typical Patagonian lunch. After lunch we will return to Puerto Natales following the same navigation to the sector of Puerto Bories where the transport will be waiting to take you to your accommodation.

Recommendations to come to Torres del Paine
Clothing: The weather in Torres del Paine is very variable, so it is important to dress in layers. Recommended:
First layer: Thermal underwear that wicks away perspiration.
Second layer: Fleece or fibre jacket providing thermal insulation.
Third layer: Windbreaker or waterproof, preferably with Gore-Tex technology. In addition, trekking trousers that allow mobility, hat and gloves, sunglasses with high UV protection and waterproof trekking boots.
Ideal dates: The best time to visit Torres del Paine and trek is during the austral summer months, from November to March. During this period there are more daylight hours and temperatures are more pleasant. However, it is also the high season, so it is advisable to make reservations in advance.
Documents and insurance:
Passport: Make sure your passport is valid for at least six months after your date of entry to Chile.
VISA: Depending on your country of origin, a VISA may be required to enter Chile. It is important to check with the Chilean embassy or consulate.
Travel insurance: It is highly recommended to take out travel insurance that covers adventure activities such as trekking, including medical assistance and emergency evacuation.
